Journey's Readers Audio Story:
- (Friday) Start/Finish reading, “We Were There, Too!” from your textbook. No questions to complete just read for the enjoyment, understanding and appreciation for what these young kids did and witnessed during the American Revolution.
- (Thursday) We will discuss the three questions from yesterday's audio story of “Citizen Spies” . Sometime today read at least half of the “We Were There, Too!” from your textbook.
- (Wednesday) Citizen Spies – Audio story. Tomorrow and Friday we will read from your textbook, “We Were There, Too!” about Joseph Plumb Martin and other brave patriots who fought in the American Revolution. As a prelude (introduction) to that today you will listen to a very short story titled, “Citizen Spies” a lesser known yet very important part of American’s fight for freedom. Your task today is to simply listen to the story, read by yours truly, and answer three questions. This will help develop your listening comprehension skills. The three questions focus on summarizing, analyzing details, and comparing and contrasting. Basically the three main comprehension themes we’ve worked on all school year. We’ll discuss this story and the questions tomorrow in class. Thanking you in advance for coming prepared to share. Best effort as always. Citizen Spies lesson
